The Destiny Showcase is our biggest marketing event annually where we reveal our next expansion for the year plus a ton of other Destiny news. This year we featured Destiny 2: Lightfall with one of our largest developer interview on-camera segments to-date. We shot multiple days with a broad group of our dev team to talk about Lightfall, Season of Plunder and live-game Destiny updates coming in year 6.
For the key art, we wanted to hint at the events leading up to Lightfall with a callback to our original Destiny key art and the Traveler leaving earth. This was utilized across all our social media and owned channels to promote the event and featured on-camera in our host segments. To keep segments of the 45 minute show unique we included elements of the Neomuna skybox, Lightfall and Season of Plunder background art to create on-camera looks that were branded and appropriate for what our interviewees/presenters were discussing.
As part of the event we included 3 hour live-stream with multiple sets for live round-table discussion with our development teams and live seasonal gameplay. We approached the space in tiers with a section dedicated to Destiny 2: Lightfall and the other for Season of Plunder.
